  1. I am really disappointed to see this. I do not mean to condemn without trial, but come on…even by reading a summary of the Vitals Inquiry one could easily see just how filthy the corrupt deeds were. There were even new revelations, just as f*cked up as the older ones. This reminds me all those knuckleheads that headed to Capitol during in Jan 2021 in support of Trump. I watched those events and worried for my country. I couldn’t imagine I would see this in Malta as well. No riots so far, but it could get bad if incitement takes place.

These people are unfortunately not the problem. They exist on both sides and are the vocal minority. The issue is their immediate peers who say ‘I don’t get involved in politics’ and vote along party lines because its what they’ve always done. Further to this, its also the whataboutists and single-issue voters who contribute to this shitstorm we find ourselves in.

My source for this is that I have several family members like this who do not even entertain a discussion about the topic without either invoking Mintoff (both negatively and positively) or making the claim that things were just as bad under PN.

I’m more tolerant of the first as its generally older people so their bias is clear and founded in personal struggle, so its at least remotely justifiable. The second instantly gives away the fact you are a fucking gidra who just wants their team to win so you can get blacked out covered in red paint.

I’d say the same if the roles were reversed, I was raised PN but I’ve never given them a single vote, as it stands its a lame-duck party. This isn’t about elitism or hamallagni anymore, its a ‘are you willing to thank the people fucking you on a day to day basis’ issue

Look at the crowd. They are mostly of the older generation. They are the diehards. You’ll find these people on both sides of both parties. They are what is ruining the local electoral system. A large group of people who do not care about true facts, and cannot stop and think and judge accordingly. A group of people who idolise whoever is in power. They’re powerful, and are dangerous for the grand scheme of things. There is some hope though, it seems these are slowly dying out.

It is for this reason that it is so much more important for the no votes to go out and vote for the third parties / independents. Both parties don’t care all that much for no votes, as long as they get the majority of the actual votes. Voting for others, with the aim of getting at least one third party / independent candidate up, will give so much more of a message.

    # “Democracy is only as good as the education that surrounds it.” — Socrates

Socrates felt that democracy could only work well if individuals were educated, knowledgeable, and able to think critically. 😕

  5. Shit like this gives me a massive urge to leave and never come back.

  6. Go out and vote like Robert said you should!!!! Only vote for third parties instead.

Joseph Muscat receiving a hero’s welcome is just wild. These Labour boomers are already one foot in the grave and they think that they know what is best for this country by cheering for this corrupt fucker almost a third their age.

  8. The stupidity of the Maltese never ceases to amaze me. The most corrupt scumbags on the island greeted like hero’s by the people. Don’t they realise these people robbed them blind 🤣🤣🤣

My advice to you is: If you have children start telling them from a young ago to leave this island.

Do not underestimate the ignorance of Maltese people.

I feel sorry for the young generation.

  11. People like these are why I left Malta for Australia and never been back in 10 years, apart from these people, bad drivers and low IQ people all over.

As a Maltese myself I know how fucked up is in Malta I really wish to go back in the old days because in the future gets worse and worse

Trust me, there are far worse examples than this. In Cyprus, President Anastasiadis approved a controversial decision to withdraw people’s money from the banks, known as the ‘haircut bailout,’ affecting deposits up to €100,000. This was a major event back in 2013. Surprisingly, when election time came around, he was re-elected. Even more astonishing, in the most recent elections, his right-hand man was voted in. The cycle of corruption continues unabated.”versial decision to withdraw people’s money from the banks, known as the ‘haircut bailout,’ affecting deposits up to €100,000. 14. Those who think that Malta has a future and is worth fighting for, it has not got one and its not worth the hassle.

These people have offspring and I bet any money that the offspring is the same.

I could not stand the blatant low IQ of Most Maltese people and I was fed up paying super high taxes in vain.

At least now I pay high taxes and get something in return, unlike Malta where the high tax payer has to play Robin hood!

I was appalled when I heard of the tax return scam, those who pay more get less, how is that a tax return? Sounds like a cash injection to the lazy for me!

By average im paying 10% more each month here but overall yearly im paying 25% less.

I heard the comments about high earners in Malta and it is like their fault that they spent their teen years studying / developing skills, not hoping for a pastizzi job, instead of getting drunk, one thing that the Maltese cant get a grasp with is that, you reap what you sow and il bajtra ma taqax mis sema!

People are literally comparing jospeh to jesus…

There is no way to convince these people. Even if he comes out of that court as guilty of the money he stole his supporters will say he was in the right. Like all the “good” he did for the country should cancel out all the bad he did …

That’s the kind of mentality they have. I’m certain almost all his supporters would do the same corrupt things jospeh and co would have done.

  16. I worry. Because if he is found guilty (as he should!) these idiots are going to be a problem. Wouldn’t put it past them to revert to violence. I sincerely hope I’m wrong but as I see it, we can either have justice or have peace. I doubt we can have both.

  17. icywaterfall on

I’m actually in Valletta as I write this and the majority of the support comes from older people who are likely on the poorer side of the spectrum.

Muscat is like a modern-day Pablo Escobar who acted for his own benefit, while throwing PL supporters a bone or two. To starving dogs, even a bone or two is a lot, hence the support.

Now I actually think that the whole system is messed up and to blame Muscat (who absolutely is a narcissist and a psychopath) is to miss the point; it’s to blame the player not the game.

I’m not apologizing for Muscat and he definitely needs to be behind bars, but doing so won’t fix the messed up system.

There are too many people in this country who should not be voting .. we don’t have democracy, we have tyranny run by organized crime.

And those people turning up to celebrate a criminal., that should be illegal ..

If I get a crowd at my court hearing .. would it be ok ?

Malta mhijiex se tinbidel sakemm ma jgħaddux 20-30 sena oħra. Id-demografika li nġabret quddiem il-Qrati llum għamlitha veritiera aktar minn qatt qabel din l-istqarrija.
