Die Republikaner würden lieber Tyson Foods boykottieren, als anzuerkennen, wie wichtig Einwanderer sind

Americans don’t want these jobs, but we want boneless buffalo wings. Especially during March Madness. Are they boycotting celery and blue cheese dressing too?

Can you imagine the mental gymnastics of this was Chick-Fil-A and not Tyson?

The argument of Vance in the article is about illegal immigration not immigration as a whole.

I think illegal immigration, just like any other crime, should not be rewarded. At the same time the government needs to make it easier for companies to hire from abroad and immigrants to apply for jobs. That way they come to the country with a contract and knowing they have an income so it will be easier for them to find housing and be integrated into society.

That being said GOP (especially MAGA people like Vance) are weaponizing this whole issue without actually providing a solution or accepting Democrats’ solution.

    “ThEyRe TaKiNG oUR JeRBs!”

This argument, specifically as it applies to chicken plants, always cracks me up. I dated a guy in my 20s who worked at a chicken plant for **one day** and said it was the toughest and most disgusting work he’d ever attempted. He was embarrassed he couldn’t hack it because most of the other workers were old Hispanic ladies but said he could not imagine having to do it every day. He went on to work at an oil change place.

I would rather boycott Tyson due to their shitty, over processed chicken and their ongoing human and animal abuses

I was about to comment, “they’re so close to figuring it out” but it turns out the JD Vance and his band of fascists are just using a plant closure to be the same hideous people they’ve always been.

If republicans actually cared about the border and illegal immigration, they’d use *the laws already on the books* to prosecute the people who employ them.

    But they don’t. Can’t imagine why. /s

I do deliveries to food processing plants in southern MN and Northern IA. Guess these fuckers plan starving or growing their own food since every single one of them is 90% immigrant labor on the production lines. The majority of “Real Americans” work in the office areas in these places.

    Republicans are scum.

    They don’t *care* about facts.

They only care about their precious, snowflake feelings. And they’re so indoctrinated that they only *feel* what they’ve been told to feel by their masters.

    Republicans are *broken* sycophants.

I will never understand their logic. You get mad at corporations closing factories and you get mad when immigrants or migrants are taking those jobs.

None of those jobs pay well and it’s hard labor. You want local US citizens to take those jobs? Get legislation that improves working conditions and raise wages but getting them to agree on that is a dream. Instead, their solution is forced overtime and child labor.

And yet, Tyson probably funds GOP in a never-ending focus to deregulate their industry.

Looking forward to tik-tok videos of Republican voters machine gunning bags of Jimmy Dean sausages and Sarah Lee apple pies.

Friendly reminder that undocumented immigrants pay 23 billion dollars in income taxes every year voluntarily without any social benefits or tax credit, according to the IRS.

    Donald Trump paid $950 dollars

  13. FlexFanatic on

The GOP solution is to just lower the age of workers and also allow them to work more hours during the school week.

  14. not_that_planet on

No Republicans are going to boycott anything remotely meat-related. That would mean going without chicken wings, fried chicken, nuggets, whatever… and they are not going to do that. A bridge too far.

  15. Edge_of_yesterday on

Wait until the find out that trump hires undocumented immigrants to work at his properties.

  16. If republicans want to ideologically consistent (they don’t) they should also boycott almost all other forms or meat, fruit, and produce. Our entire food system is built off the back of migrant labor.

  17. Are they going boycott any food manufacturer or restaurant that uses Tyson chicken as well?

  18. Boycotting Tyson is a good thing, even if for the wrong reason. They are a shitty company who have been repeatedly caught abusing children and animals. I’m taking this as a win.

  19. Floofycats78 on

Yea but don’t boycott Tyson for factory farming. Makes sense.

  20. lastburn138 on

Republicans would rather pray than put their hands to work to fix something too. Useless.

  21. skallywag126 on

Tyson food is a shit company and deserves to be treated as such. Immigration or not

  22. No-Improvement-625 on

They can take the jobs back that were “stolen” from them.

  23. mettiusfufettius on

Don’t boycott companies who legally employ documented immigrants.

Boycott companies who ILLEGALLY employee ILLEGAL immigrants. No one is stealing jobs from you. Shitty, abusive American companies are giving jobs away to undocumented workers. Punish those companies. Punish those business owners. Don’t blame the workers who are just trying to feed themselves and their families.

  24. That would be the healthiest decision they’ve made in decades, even if it is for a very dumb reason. Can we convince them that immigrants require microplastics and pfas to survive also?

  25. Coyotelightning-T on

Pfft, I’ll give the boycott to last for a week at most.

They’ll go back to buying it anyway

  26. whereismymind86 on

I mean, Tyson is a notoriously awful nightmarish employer so a boycott is well warranted…just not for what the gop is mad about
